Hotel Canada is a family run business established in 1992. We offer a warm and friendly environment located just 10 minutes from the Sanctuary of Fátima.Our establishment consists of 36 rooms, 3 family rooms for 4 people, 7 triple rooms and the remaining are doubles. LOCATION (!)

Please be advised that the transit will suffer some changes from December 12, 2011 due to Urban Redevelopment Project of AV. D. José Alves Correia da Silva and that the Hotel's car park is locked during the week. However during the weekend (including Friday night) the car park will be available for our customers.

Anyway, there is an alternate parking on the street parallel to the avenida (Rua Jacinta Marto). From there, just descend the stairs next to the Health Centre and turn left to access the Hotel Canada/Stailes Bar.

We regret the inconvenience it may cause.

Area HistoryWhile in Fátima, you can visit the Basilica and the Chapel of the Apparitions. The "Valihnos" are just a short walk away. Here you can see a natural museum and many interesting points connected to the apparitions: the home of the three children the well and the "Loca do Anjo"On 13 May 1917, three children were pasturing their little flock in the Cova da Iria, parish of Fátima, town of Vila Nova de Ourém. Today the diocese of Leiria-Fatima. They were called: Lucia de Jesus, aged 10, and her cousins Francisco and Jacinta Marto, aged 9 and 7. About midday, after praying the Rosary, as was their custom, they were amusing themselves building a little house of stones scattered around the place where the Basilica now stands. Suddenly they saw a brilliant light, and thinking it to be lightning, they decided to go home. But as they went down the slope another flash lit up the place, and they saw on the top of a holmoak (where the Chapel of Apparitions now stands), "a Lady more brilliant than the sun", from whose hands hung a white rosary. ...
